A Few Snaps From A Few Days..

1. Wasn't expecting to be admitted to hospital, so I ended up hooked up to IV medication and on oxygen looking like this. At least I was given a few lovely compliments to brighten an otherwise horrible few days.

2. A gorgeous gift from a gorgeous guy (plus another pair & a stunning pair of topshop boots) very lucky.
3. Firstly excuse my messy back drop I was sorting my room, after getting out of hospital and not sleeping I decided to have a massive clean up AND clear out. So check out my blog sale, lots of fabulous products! I'm also going to be putting a lot of clothes, shoes, accessories and handbags on ebay, should I like my page? Some designer bits going up.
4. Ugh blurred photo, not quite grasped this new instagram editing thing yet but I'll get there! Anyhoo, I am obsessed with these earrings right now, I tweeted this and it seems that you guys are loving spikes too.
5. My face of the day on thursday, I was just leaving the hospital after a small procedure and having met with my consultant to discuss treatment, very positive. I rather love this red on me, I'm keeping quiet for now but you guys will love the product...
6. On a trip to pick up some of my medications, I took a trip into a clothing store (haul soon) and since I had received 5 compliments on it I thought I would snap it. I couldn't believe how many girls had come up to me in the street to stop me and ask where my shirt & necklace were from, I really put no thought into this outfit, it's standard for me right now. Cardigan: Monsoon, Shirt: Primark, Necklace: Primark & Treggings: Monsoon, I also had my Zara bag the large tote that everyone seems to have, I bought it in red it was the last one in the shop and it was fate.
7. Enjoying wearing bright bandage skirts with really big oversized tshirts half tucked in, it's great when you find new ways to wear clothes, I love the super casual but still stylish look. Plus this blue shade is so pretty.
8. Admiring my pretty Elegant touch nails, I had them on for 16 days, amazing quality but it's time for a change! Will be reviewing my new nails later this week, imPRESS.
9. My gorgeous Zara bag paired with my lovely new jumper, I love the big yellow flower and love the price even more £10 from ASDA. This has been keeping me very cosy, whilst still making me smile when I look down, this was a OOTD whilst in hospital.
10. Excuse the cleavage that is just, well, there haha. The main reason for this was the fact I love these two New Look pieces, their new oversized tee with cut out shoulder & their pastel blue/turquoise boxy swing cardigan. Both for under £10! When I tweeted this images I got some great comments, I love these paired together as they are so comfy and very easy to wear.

It has been a long time since I posted any weekly update style posts, I'm considering doing something along those lines again once a week and maybe collate my instagram photos/blackberry picture. So many people are doing them right now, so I don't want to be a sheep but since stopping my sunday post last November I have kinda missed it. These are just a few images I took on my playbook and thought I'd share, let me know if you want want to see a weekly photo post in the comment.

Rodial Glam Balm Hand

Rodial launched the Glam Balm Hand towards the end of last year and I've been playing with it for a good few weeks now, so time to tell you what I think. The brightening and nourishing cream rich with shea butter, vitamin E to help to create radiance, restore moisture levels and an even skin tone. I really like the rich thick texture, that sinks in easily without leaving any residue, it quickly restores moisture leaving my hands feeling velvety soft. After using this for over a month I have began to notice a slight brightened appearance in my hands, they don't look as dull as they have done, so I'm hoping this is beginning to work? Rodial is a fabulous brand, they always seem to launch interesting products, I mean products called boob job & bum lift who wouldn't want to give them a go?! The white small tube is nice, easy to use so you don't spill too much out and it can be chucked into handbag no problem - this hasn't left my bag since it arrived. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a luxury treat for your hard working hands.

Sigma Flat Top Kabuki F80

Quick post here about the Sigma Flat Top Kabuki brush, this isn't a new item it has been around for some time but I have never mentioned it on the blog before. Time to time I switch up how I apply my foundation, for me warming the product on clean hands always wins, but this is my favorite brush for buffing in foundation for a flawless finish. This really does make a small amount of product go a long way, it is great for buffing foundation in and giving a really natural, perfect cover. It is love.

Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Finishing Touch Cream

For the past two weeks I've been using the new (ish) Herbal Essences range Tousle Me Softly products, the finishing touch cream is the stand out for me. After I have let me hair dry about 80% I use about a penny sized amount through my hair, then brush through and blow dry it and I'm left with sleek looking messy bed hair, it makes that messy bed look a little more put together and not as dry looking in texture. Or the other way you can use this cream is on dry hair to get rid of any frizz and flyaways, it you like your hair to have a bit of texture with a (very) light hold but want it to look soft them I suggest trying this out. Plus the cute purple pot looks nice on the side, bring some colour.

The Tousle Me Softly hair mask is also a fabulous product to give body to your hair whilst giving it a boost in moisture, I've nearly used it up in the last 3 weeks as I love how my hair looks and feels afterwards.

As Herbal Essences say let’s get reeeaaady to tumble!

Tousle Me Softly Finishing Touch Cream, Priced at £4.79 from Boots
Herbal Essences is also on offer at Boots right now, two products for £5.00

Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil

Over the next couple of weeks I'm going to be discussing my favorite makeup removers and facial cleansers,  so to kick it all off I thought I would start with one by Origins a brand I adore for skin. This is a very gentle oil, surprisingly light weight given the fact some oil cleansers ca feel very heavy on the skin, as you massage it into your skin it turn in to more into a milk but only slightly I found. The sunflower, sesame and safflower oils all help to remove makeup and different, whilst protecting the skins moisturise balance and soothe any irritation within the skin. Clean Energy is a really effective makeup remover, a small amount will go along way to remove all of my makeup - including waterproof mascara, all whilst being very gentle.

I've heard many people say cleansing oils are only meant for people with dry/very dry skin, however I have normal to combo skin and swear by cleansing oils, it really comes down to the formula you buy. Origins Clean Energy has been formulated so that all skin types can use this, I've had no problems using it and in-fact I have been reaching for this compared to other favorites due to the unique texture and feel.

If you are looking for a highly effective makeup and skin cleansers, perhaps looking at trying an oil formula, then I highly suggest you take a look at this next time you're near a counter. This will leave your skin feeling thoroughly cleansed and fresh.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Way back in January I was sent a few shades of the new Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, it couldn't have arrived at a better time as I decided to kick my addiction to matte finishes. I was interested to see whether it would live up to the "anti-fatigue effect and radiant glow" claim on the bottle, I wanted this to great a radiant better version on my own skin and having read many other blog posts about this my hopes were high. I really should have blogged about this earlier, to be honest the only reason I haven't is down to the fact I have thoroughly been enjoying wearing this, it became a fast everyday product therefor it slipped my mind.

The texture is as you might expect light, almost like a gel, which I feel helps the products to melt and blend better into my skin. I have used a couple of different techniques to apply this, however I have found a flat top foundation/kabuki brush works the best to ensure you get an even flawless finish.  I use between 1&2 pumps depending on what kind of cover I am looking for that day, but like I said this is a very buildable so if you need more cover this will serve you well.

Rimmel haven't roped me in with a base product in quite some years but this fresh natural, yet still delivering a buildable medium coverage, foundation has totally won me over. Evening out my slightly uneven skin tone, hiding my pores, giving my skin a boost in radiance and not once has this caked or felt at all heavy on. Just glowing.

Since I have had a long period to really test this out, I have found with a primer this will last me a good 6-7 hours without need for a touch up however as I don't use a powder with this I tend to just buff a tiny bit more into my skin as my 'touch up'. Again even though I am applying more the formulation is so light it doesn't cake or cling to any patches of skin. Another point I want to touch on is although there is some pearl particles suspended in the formula, I haven't noticed them in-doors, out in the sunshine or under a flash, so it certainly isn't going to turn you into a glitter ball like some.

Available from Boots and Superdrug priced at £8.99, or you can read more here!

got2b Play It Straight

This certainly promises to be an exciting product, got2b are launching their new 'play it straight - straightening blow dry kit' making it easy to obtain sleek and manageable hair by yourself at home. In can be a costly treatment to have a similar treatment done in the salon, but for a fraction of the price you are left will smooth straight hair and no more worrying about whether your hair will become frizzy by 10am.

got2b's semi-permanent solution for rebellious hair means you can banish the flyaway frizz once and for all, instead swapping the frizz for sleek straight and full bodied locks. Lasting up to 10 washes before you need to do another application, and with keratin, silk and wheat proteins you can rest assured your hair well cared for and conditioned. Think of this as your own professional blow-dry done by you in the comfort of your own pajamas's? Then after each wash simply blow dry your hair as normal but thanks to the advanced formula you will have a quicker drying time, meaning less time styling your hair and more time admiring your luscious straight locks!

I can't wait to get my hands on this, the thought of waking up everyday to hair that doesn't require the every day barrage of heat styling, being able to roll out of bed and go.

Don't forget to check out their Facebook page got2b play it straight

[001] What I'm Wearing

Face:
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation - 3C1
Clinique Blended Face Powder
St Tropez Stripe Bronzer
NARS Blusher - Orgasm
St Tropez Skin Illuminator - Gold

Eyes:
Bobbi Brown Party Eye Palette (Cool) - Bone, Champagne Quartz & Black Chocolate
Barry M Waterproof Liner - Ultra Black

Ardell Demi Lashes
Benefit Brow-zings (amazing fyi!)

Lips:
Revlon Lipstick - (362) Cinnamon Bronze

Nails:
Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamel - (405) Peachy

There are a couple of products that I'm wearing today that I am in love with right now, the Barry M liner has great pigmentation and stays on all day, plus it's under £5! The next two are both from St Tropez, I am obsessed with creating a bronzed glow to my cheeks using the bronzing powder and the skin illuminator - bring on the golden tan glow! I've just posted a mini review about the skin illuminator as it really is a gem from St Tropez.

I really need to sort my hair out, it has suddenly gone really dry at the ends despite the shampoo/conditioner claiming to repair ends, so after a week of trying it I'm switching back to Ojon I shouldn't have changed. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

St Tropez Gold Skin Illuminator

Right now I am all for illuminating products, be it foundation, creams or powders but I keep going back to St Tropez's Skin Illuminator in Gold. This light wieght cream gives a gorgeous dewy glow to the skin, whether I mix it with my base or apply afterwards it really helps to brighten and bounce light off my skin. This was used by St Tropez at the Zac Posen show in Paris, as well as many other catwalks shows, perfect to highlight the body and face. It has a strong yellow undertone, buffed out well it can look very natural or applied a little more heavy handed you can really dazzle those around you. I apply this mainly to my cheekbones and then down the center of the nose, or if I want an overall glow I mix it in with whatever base I'm using.

RRP £12.26 from any St Tropez outlets or online HERE!

Models Own Hed Kandi Collection

Models Own have teamed up with the glamorous clubbing brand Hed Kandi, the new collection is inspired by the part capital of the world - Ibiza! The collection is full of lively vibrant colours, and colourful glitters, they have created three of the brightest shades to be launched by Models Own. I haven't tried many Models Own shades, I am a big fan of their glitter polishes, so this was my first time using their glitter free colours. The formula is going strong no chips to report on day 4, high gloss and it only took two coats to get a complete opaque finish (though you could get away with one).

I chose two shades to try from the collection, the gorgeous neon coral and the multi-coloured glitter, both lovely shades. On the left, Ibiza Mix HK04 and on the right, Hedonist HK05. As much as I wanted to coat all my nails in Ibiza Mix, getting glitter nail polish off is a pain, so I opted for Ibiz Mix on my ring finger and Hedonist on the rest. The end result is perfect so dancing the summer nights away.

RRP £5.00 each at www.modelsownit.com

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

Clinique launched their Bottom Lash mascara last year, new to the market when it launched, it has been loved by many bloggers and beauty writers a-like. Late last year I attended the launch for this, so I have had this for a fair amount of time, it's safe to say that I've tested this very well. It's one of those products that could have failed and been a waste of money, but surprisingly this little wand is actually rather great. The problem with bigger mascara wands and doing your bottom lashes, is often you can catch the wand around the eye, messing up your makeup or not being able to get right to the root of the lashes. However Clinique saw the gap in the market for a smaller more precise wand, and Bottom Lash was born. The formula is good, I would expect nothing less from Clinique, I found it lasted all day and didn't smudge or run underneath my eyes. It's definitely long wearing and does define the lashes well, no signs of clumps with the wand. You can use this on your upper lashes, it would work well if you wear lash extensions as it is so small it won't catch or pull at the extensions. It is also great for getting the very inner and outer lashes, something again that can be difficult with larger mascara wands.

Available from all Clinique counters & on-line HERE!
Black & Black/Brown £11.00
